10. Geolocation of QR Code Scans
When a visitor scans a QR code page, we record an approximate country-level location, derived from the IP address, in order to provide the page's creator with scan statistics (map and breakdown by country). The IP address is immediately anonymised through hashing and is never stored in plain form. Visitors may, if they wish, share their precise location via their browser: such sharing is strictly optional, based on consent, and may be declined at any time. This data is used solely for the page creator's statistics and is never sold to third parties.
